Summary

  • ENERQI is short for 'Energy efficiency by using daily customers' quality observations to improve public transport'. The project  implements an innovative quality monitoring system for public transport.
  • It involves voluntary quality observers, which are in fact public transport travellers. They answer questionnaires on a wide range of quality related issues regarding the line/service that they are using.
  • This is done on a continuous basis and used to increase the hospitality and quality of the public transport service.
  • The goal of ENERQI is to learn how to best monitor quality and implement results from this monitoring scheme by exchanging experiences. Not only experiences concerning the needs and expectations of customers, but also experiences regarding involving public transport operators, authorities, passenger organisations and energy agencies.
  •  The project consists of 13 partners from 9 countries. 8 of them are public transport operators.
  • ENERQI is a project co-funded by the Intelligent Energy Europe programme of the European Commission. It runs from June 2010 until June 2013.
